Now happening every Thursday: the Fairview Farmers Market!!

Shop the many vendors in the community room at Centennial Arena  as well as those outside including our farmers and food trucks.

If you run out of cash while at the market, drop by the information table to purchase Market Bucks using your credit or debit card. These bucks are available in $5 denominations and can be used to shop at any of our vendors during the 2024 season.

The market is FREE for EVERYONE so drop by!!

Get behind the one you love, celebrate with our community by joining the Kidney Walk in HRM on Sunday September 8, 2024. The Kidney Walk is our largest nation-wide community fundraiser to support The Kidney Foundation’s vital research and patient support programs, and it’s all thanks to the strength of our amazing community who sign up to support us year after year. Registered Kidney Walk participants will have the opportunity to: Receive a Kidney Walk t-shirt by raising $100 or more Join our Kidney Walk Champion’s Club by raising $1000 or more* * Members of the Kidney Walk Champions Club must have $1000 of individual fundraising credited to their personal page. Play Yellow & Dormie Workshop Golf Event

This September, Dormie Workshop and the Play Yellow Foundation are back to build on the $70k we’ve raised for the IWK Children’s Hospital Foundation. Join us at Old Ashburn on September 9th for a day of food, drinks, music and friends across 18 holes in support of the IWK.

Led by Honorary Chairs Jack and Barbara Nicklaus, in partnership with the PGA Tour and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, Play Yellow has raised over $100m to help the 10 million kids treated at local children’s hospitals each year. Here in Halifax, Dormie Workshop is the official partner of the Play Yellow network, leveraging the platform to raise $70k and counting for the IWK foundation.

Halifax Story Slam: True stories told live. Without a net.

Expect an unforgettable evening of storytelling at the inaugural “Story Slam” event, in partnership with Halifax Public Libraries, on Oct 29, 2024, at Paul O’Regan Hall, Halifax Central Library! ????? For this singular experience, curated storytellers will share their own true tales on the theme of “fear.” Through workshops with seasoned story editors, each presenter will be guided to refine their story for an exciting evening of storytelling.
