All HRCE schools are closed

All CCRCE schools will be closed today, January 29, due to weather forecast and road conditions.
Office and worksites will delay opening until noon, with a reassessment update at 10 am.

Dalhousie University — Halifax and Truro campuses closed Monday January 29, 2024 due to weather

SMU — All classes are cancelled, including those delivered online.

NSCAD — Due to the ongoing snowfall, all #NSCAD campuses will be closed today, January 29, 2024. During the storm closure, there will be no classes (either online and in-person), all operations will be paused and there is no access to studio spaces.

St. Fx University closed

Mount St. Vincent University closed all day

NSCC – All Campuses are closed today.

 

 

BUSINESSES

City Offices DELAYING OPENING OFFICES, INCLUDING 3-1-1 CUSTOMER CONTACT CENTRES UNTIL 10 AM TODAY.

Many City run Recreational Facilities DELAYED opening —A decision will be made mid-morning regarding scheduled programming. Call your local rec centre before heading out.

Sobey’s atlantic Tennis Centre delayed opening

CFB — The opening of all CFB Halifax properties (including Shearwater*) is delayed until 12 p.m. due to winter storm conditions.

The Firefighters’ Museum of Nova Scotia will be closed today due to weather / icy conditions.

Public Gardens CLOSED

SERVICES

Garbage / Recycling cancelled today. Pick up will be Saturday Feb 3

Public Libraries — all delayed opening until 1 pm

Halifax Stanfield Airport — Delays and cancellations .. Check with your airline before you head out there

THE AFRICAN HERITAGE MONTH FLAG-RAISING CANCELLED TODAY. THE EVENT WAS PLANNED FOR 10 AM THIS MORNING AT GRANDE PARADE BUT IT WILL DELAY UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
