From RCMP Twitter: “Update 11:35 a.m. Police are receiving reports of motorists driving to the coast to watch the waves. This action is putting themselves at risk along with First Responders in the event of rescue attempts. RCMP are advising motorists to stay off the roads.”

Halifax Co. – Please be advised that Hwy 207 is closed from MacDonald House at Lawrencetown Beach to Leslie Rd. due to flooding. Further updates will be made when available.

MOBILE SPECIAL WASTE:  The mobile Household Special Waste (HSW) depot scheduled for today (Saturday, July 22) at the Horizon Community School (168 Redoubt Way, Eastern Passage) has been cancelled. It will be rescheduled. The permanent HSW Depot at 20 Horseshoe Lake Drive will also be closed today.

HALIFAX WATER- UPDATE 

@BuildNovaScotia   ALERT: The Halifax boardwalk (from Tall Ships Quay to the Sands at Salter) is currently closed due to high waves, expected continued storm surge, and loose boards. Additionally, all wharves are closed to the public. Please avoid any sections of the boardwalk that are close to the water until the storm surge has subsided and we are able to make any necessary repairs.
