Paul Mescal could portray Paul McCartney in an upcoming biopic directed by Sam Mendes, part of a groundbreaking project focusing on The Beatles.

In a conversation with Christopher Nolan, “Gladiator 2” director Ridley Scott was asked if he wanted to work with Mescal again following the film, to which Scott shared that “Paul is actually stacked up, doing the Beatles next. So I may have to let him go.”

The films are slated for production in the UK beginning in 2025, with a theatrical release expected in 2027. Other potential cast members rumoured to join include Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr, Harris Dickinson as John Lennon, and Charlie Rowe as George Harrison.

No official casting announcements have been made, despite Ringo Starr revealing that Barry Keoghan has been cast to portray him.
