WET NOSE WEDNESDAY brought to you by Global Pet Foods

From the NWT to NS!
Mesquite arrived in Nova Scotia on Sept 27 when their local shelter needed to be evacuated due to wildfires. Since that time, she has been making slow progress learning to trust people and new dogs.
Mesquite is a retriever mix and around one year old. She is looking for a patient, adult-only family, with a calm home that can take their time helping her learn what it means to be a loved family member. Mesquite struggles to walk on a leash and can panic when faced with new, busy or loud environments. Mesquite needs an emotional support person and ideally at least one other doggy family member to help her ease her fears and anxieties. She may also benefit from prescription anti-anxiety medication on-going to help her adjust to her new life. A home with fenced-in backyard is highly recommended.
Mesquite meet and greets can be done by appointment only. Last minute or short notice appointments may be able to be accommodated. Due to her high level of fear when meeting new people, adopters should be prepared to make at least 3 visits with Mesquite prior to adoption.
Mesquite is being cared for at the HRM Animal Redemption Centre located at 201 Brownlow Ave, Suite #9. We are now open to the public every day from 11am-4pm for meet and greets and adoptions at this location.
