WET NOSE WEDNESDAY

Everyone … this is Jessie !

Jessie was brought into the Nova Scotia SPCA back on June 8th. Yep – you read that right. She has been in foster care for more than 167 days. Let’s find this four-year-old sweetheart a home before the holidays!! This is what her fabulous foster family shared:

“Jessie is a very refined kitty, with impeccable house manners. In the nearly three months that Jessie has been living with me she has never chewed wires, knocked things off tables/shelves, gone outside the litter box or otherwise gotten up to any of the mischievous acts I usually expect of cats! She is the most darling sweet little lady, and loves nothing more than to jump up on the bed with you for some cuddles! Since she has discovered the joys of cuddling recently she just can’t get enough of it, and is constantly laying on me in bed. When I first brought her home she was very timid and unsure. She spent most of her time under my bed, however she has made leaps and bounds in her confidence, and now spends the day out and about in my room. She is definitely the kind of cat who picks one person to be hers, but has come a long way in warming up to strangers. Jessie has very firm boundaries in how she likes to be handled, and has gotten very good at expressing those boundaries appropriately, usually choosing to bat you away with a gentle paw and leaving. That being said, she can now be picked up, checked over, and have her nails trimmed without much fuss! Every once in a while she gets the zoomies and races around the room. She particularly loves shiny boots!”

Jessie’s ideal home placement would have older children (12+) as the only pet to get all the love. She was diagnosed with eosinophilic granuloma complex please read more about this condition here: https://veterinarypartner.vin.com/default.aspx?pid=19239&id=4951528

Jessie does require a specialty diet that you can find through your local veterinary clinic: Feline Z/D diet. Easy peasy!

Jessie is available for adoption through the Dartmouth SPCA. If interested in adding them to your home, please submit an online application in order to arrange a meeting. https://www.novascotiaspca.ca/cat-adoption-application/
