The 80s soundtrack king, Kenny Loggins has admitted in an article on NME that he “borrowed” the riff to his hit Footloose from David Bowie! Yeah, we’re shocked too … apparently the riff was “borrowed” from Bowie’s Modern Love.

FROM NME:

“I actually borrowed that groove when I wrote ‘Footloose’. I had an attorney asked me one time in a deposition ‘what do you mean borrow?’ and I said ‘well, I fully intend on giving it back’.”
