Are you tired of saying, “New Year, New Me”?

According to a university study, only eight per cent of people will
complete their New Year’s Resolutions. And there are reasons for that.

Raise your hand if you have decided to lose a significant amount of weight because other people might find you more attractive (No? Just me?!). Or you decided to read 100 novels because one of your friends did, and you think it would make you look smarter.

These goals are not geared towards the person creating them; the resolutions are for others’ perception. Most resolutions are not made positively and are too hard to attain.

They also come with a pang of guilt associated with them. If you are not trying to be better in the New Year or you could not complete the task, you have failed as a person, and that’s not the case.

This year, we are choosing to be anti-New Year’s resolutions.

Why spend time doing things you hate? Do more of what you love, something that will make you happier—yes, you!!! Tired of saying yes to things? Say no! If you hate the idea of going to the gym but love to dance, do that (it doesn’t have to be a class, dance in your house or go dancing with friends).

Find your happiness in 2022!
