NOVA SCOTIA POWER: OUTAGE MAP LINK

****The province, working in partnership with the HRM, will offer those experiencing homelessness in the HRM emergency sheltering for the nights of January 14 to January 16 due to the weather forecast. The George Dixon Center will open 9 pm – 9 am.

HALIFAX WARMING CENTER: “The WC will be OPEN 9am to 9pm today Jan 14, 9am to 9pm Jan 15 and 8am to 9pm Jan 16 at 1479 Barrington St. HRM and DCS will be opening the George Dixon Centre Fri, Sat and Sun night as an overnight 9pm to 9am. Please share this widely!”

HALIFAX TRANSIT: “#hfxtransit bus, Access-A-Bus and ferry service will be suspended as of 9 p.m. today, Jan 14, with a tentative resumption date of no earlier than 9 a.m. tomorrow morning, Sat, Jan 15 ”

CANADA GAMES CENTRE: “With messy winter weather in the forecast overnight and into the morning, we will delay opening of the CGC until 12pm on Saturday, January 15th, 2022. Conditions will be reassessed at 10am in case we need to delay further.”

HALIFAX PUBLIC GARDENS- CLOSED SATURDAY JANUARY 15TH

HALIFAX RECREATION: “Many facilities will delay opening Saturday, Jan. 15. A decision will be made at 8 a.m. Please call your local centre ahead of time before heading out.”

 

GOVERNMENT ;

PARKING: The parking ban will be enforced from 1 a.m. to 6 a.m. (both Zone 1 – Central and Zone 2 – Non-Central), to allow crews to properly clear streets and sidewalks.
